Deciphering the API Bridge Workflow: A Sequential Insight
-
*Signal Arrival:*The API Bridge initiates its operation based on discerning "Signals." A Signal functions as a clear directive (not a choice), indicating a Buy or Sell action under specific conditions. Four distinctive Signal types are generated by the Bridge:
-
*Long Entry (LE):* Equivalent to a fresh Buy directive for establishing a Long position.
-
*Long Exit (LX):* Corresponds to a Sell action for reducing or squaring off an existing Long position.
-
*Short Entry (SE):* Comparable to a new Sell directive for initiating a Short position.
-
*Short Exit (SX):* Corresponds to a Buy action for reducing or closing a Short position.
-
*Signal Processing Hierarchy:* The Bridge operates within a structured sequence:
-
Signal is received by the API Bridge.
-
Signal Settings are enacted based on predefined rules present in both Application Settings and Signal Settings.
-
Risk Management rules, as established in Application Settings' Global Risk Management section, are applied.
-
The Bridge crafts and dispatches the requisite order request via the API.
This systematic process ensures accurate execution and optimal alignment of Signals, delivering precision and efficiency in trading decisions.
